Roberto Bruzzese graduated from Publishing and Design at Langara College and trained at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design. He has worked as an in-house designer and advertising manager for various colleges. For a number of years he was co-owner/print director of Parpüfo International Communications, an identity design firm located in Vancouver, Canada. Leaving the rain and the snow in Canada he moved to Florence, Italy in 2002. Some of his clients include MTV Canada, The Vancouver-Whistler Olympic Bid Committee, Simply Read Books, The Juno Awards, The Uffizi Gallery, Florence and The State of Victoria, Australia
Roberto is a graphic design teacher. He spends most of the time thinking about student-centred learning, especially during Photoshop lectures. He has taught in Florence, Italy for 4 years at two private colleges. Currently, Roberto is a sessional communication design teacher at RMIT University, Melbourne and Cambridge International College, Melbourne. He has also worked as a design/researcher for ACID (Australasian Centre for Interaction Design), Brisbane.
He has recently completed a Master of Design degree by research at RMIT University, Australia. His research covers the facilitation of pedagogical awareness through graphic literacy in graphic design education. Roberto enjoys reading, thinking, reflective practice, mapping out various pedagogical principles and theories and having a good expresso.
